Does your little princess have a birthday during the Christmas season? Throwing a princess-themed Christmas birthday party gives you three areas to draw from, which makes planning the party a breeze. For invitations, you have two options: you can either use a Disney princess or other princess themed invitation, or you can use Christmas cards. See what your daughter thinks is the best option, and enlist her help in decorating the cards. She can help decorate them with glitter and glue. Christmas décor will work great for this type of birthday party. Put up a few extra strands of Christmas lights, and keep the holly and bows around. Draw from the Disney princess themes and use it to add to, not replace, the Christmas décor. Put up a few posters of Disney princesses, and add a little holly to them. Frame a nice picture of your daughter in her Cinderella dress in front of the Christmas tree. Try to stick with the holiday colors of red, white, green, silver, and gold. Since the Christmas décor is already up, you won’t need much to decorate the house. Instead of having a cake, try having a tea party! Let the girls frost small sugar cookies, and gather small pretty candies and let them decorate them. Place the cookies on dainty plates with small pieces of cut up fruit and serve with punch in long-stemmed glasses. If you want to go the extra mile, purchase an inexpensive pair of white gloves for each girl to wear. Wearing gloves while eating makes every little girl feel like a princess. If you have them available, put sparklers on the birthday girl’s cookies for birthday candles. Don’t forget to take pictures! For the activities, start with playing dress up. It may help if you borrow extra Disney princess dress up clothes from your daughter’s friends before the party. Let the girls take turns in the Cinderella costumes and Disney princess costumes, taking pictures as they model. Turn on some holiday music and let the girls have fun. Playing dress up will probably use the majority of the party time. Beeswax candles are simple to make, and are special both to the holiday season and to princesses. Purchase sheets of beeswax in a neutral white color, and then buy a few red and green sheets as well. You will also need wicks as well. To make the candles, snip the wick and have the girls wrap the beeswax around it. One visually appealing way to make the candles is to wrap the white beeswax around the wick, and then cut a slightly thinner strip red and wrap it around. Put a thinner layer of green or white on top of that, and so forth. Girls can even make their candles look like candy canes if they’d like! This is a great craft for princesses since it is very easy and has little to no mess involved (we need to keep those Cinderella dresses clean!) Since the Christmas season is a very consuming, with a schedule of gifts and celebrations, and you’ll want to make sure your daughter’s birthday is something to remember. Make sure she knows that on her birthday she is getting celebrated, not just as part of the Christmas season. Getting her involved in the birthday party planning will help you both create a memorable day for her.

Some elements of the Cinderella wedding are downright obvious -- the extra-full ball gown, the elbow-length gloves. And let's not forget the pumpkin carriage that's sure to show up somewhere, whether it be the place cards, the centerpieces, or a giant prop piece near the entrance.
But with Princess weddings -- as with any other kind -- it's the details that make the difference, and getting those right often brings the bride the most satisfaction. Here are some suggestions for feeling that Cinderella magic right down to your glass-slippered toes.
The Headband
No one will fault you for wearing a crystal-studded royal tiara and necklace set. But Cinderella herself wore something a little different. The Disney movie was created in the 50s, when headbands were all the rage, and Ella herself seemed especially partial to them. Even on her wedding day, she wore a sparkling headband right on the top of her crown, in the simple 50s style. A waltz or ballet length veil sat low on the back of her head, almost at the nape of her neck. Without much difficulty, you can still find a rhinestone-studded wedding headband today.
The Neckwear
Cinderella's choice of neckwear was a little more timeless. Often, you'll see her don a simple one-stranded pearl choker. But it seems that her favorite adornment was the satin ribbon choker, which she wore in racy, Nicole Kidman-style black. You might not want to be as daring as Cinderella at your wedding, but the satin choker is fabulous, especially if you can purloin an antique ribbon from a beloved grandmother. Now you're the walking embodiment of elegance, and you have "something old" covered.
The Glass Slippers
It's common knowledge that you can get dramatic "glass slippers" (actually vinyl) for your royal stroll down the aisle. But glass slippers come in more casual, comfortable forms as well. Look for the open-toed variety, which give off all that fairytale spark, but leave your tootsies cool when it's time to dance the night away. Sure, Prince Charming might find these less useful as a bridal homing device, but he's already found his princess.
The Bluebirds of Happiness
Bluebirds played a major role in Cinderella's rise to the top, yet they usually get short shrift at a princess-theme wedding. Don't forget these perennial symbols of nuptial good luck at yours. A lovely way to include them is to track down a small bluebird keepsake charm or clip you can affix to your garter, toasting flutes or bouquet. Hallmark has one that simply glows. There you have it -- "something blue. "
The Dove Release
You could argue that this isn't an accessory, but it's our article, so we're calling it one. Doves aren't the key characters in Disney's version that they were in the original Grimm story -- and thank goodness for that -- but they still define the moment when the prince and princess unite in marriage. For any Cinderella wedding, they're a must.
But some "dove" handlers (the doves are actually white homing pigeons) have something more to offer the princess bride, such as ornate pumpkin coach carriages that double as cages. These can be placed near the altar for some romantic cooing action, then rolled down the aisle for a dramatic release once you've become husband and wife. For the biggest fireworks-like sensation, release the first two doves yourselves, but let pro handlers manage the rest.
The Guestbook Picture Frame
If you're true Cinderella aficionado, those full-color Walt Disney prints of the royal couple probably get your heart beating a little faster. Buy one framed with a large white matte. Or if you really want the signature frame but don't want the $150 price tag, buy the print separately and make a few patient trips to the thrift store. At a large one, you'll typically find a dizzying sample of frames and mattes you can usually get for pocket change. That's quite the return on something you'll love looking at for years.

Diana, Princess of Wales, died on August 31, 1997. Ten years after her death, I can easily recall what I was doing when the news first started to trickle in. Since sleep and I haven't been friends for many years, I was in and out of bed and finally decided to watch some television. As I flipped through the channels, I noticed dark scenes with lots of flashing lights from emergency vehicles on most of the news channels and paused to find out what was going on. Text running across the bottom of the screen told the tale. Diana, Princess of Wales, was in some sort of automobile accident. The fact that she was with Dodi Al-Fayed at the time made it an even bigger news story. After her divorce from Charles, Diana became the darling of millions of Brits and others that sympathized with her former situation. Most felt she received the cold shoulder from the Royal Family and was merely a trophy wife for Charles as he secretly desired and sought after Carmilla Parker Bowles. Public interest in Diana peaked when she began dating Dodi Al-Fayed and their relationship was the constant topic of every tabloid publication and entertainment news broadcast in those days. As the minutes passed after I found about the accident, more details became available. The incident occurred in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris. Dodi and the driver of the vehicle had been killed instantly. Diana initially survived the accident, but went into cardiac distress on the way to the hospital. Despite all attempts to save her life, the princess was declared dead at around four in the morning. As if on cue, the photographers that hounded Diana and Dodi on motorbikes and in cars became instant suspects. Blame flew everywhere and almost every channel on television was covering the story. The French Police were quick to take action by questioning the Paparazzi that followed the couple and those that were at the hotel where Dodi and Diana were staying. Stories circulated about photographers that took photos of Diana in the smashed vehicle instead of offering assistance or notifying the emergency services. They became instead scapegoats whether they deserved it or not. Less than a month before the tragedy, my wife and I were talking about Diana. The conversation was inspired by a report about her shown on television. It featured some video of the Princess vacationing with Dodi Al-Fayed and wearing skimpy bathing suits. I commented to my wife that Diana wouldn't be alive much longer. It was not a psychic prediction, nor a wish for some harm to come to her. It was merely an observation based on my years of experience as a UFO Researcher and Paranormal Investigator. I always believed that if you wanted to find a bone, the best way to do so would be to follow the dog that buried it. After years of watching public officials, federal departments and intelligence services cover-up and distort information about UFOs, I knew that the U. S. and British Governments had a common goal above all others. That goal is bureaucratic survival. No single issue, problem or person would ever be allowed to bring down those governments or the behind the scenes Powers supporting them. The Assassinations of JFK and RFK were proof and practical examples of that fact. While it's impossible to point a finger of blame for planning Diana's death at any specific person, agency or government entity, you didn't have to be Nostradmus to know that Diana's behavior was quickly moving from being naughty to unacceptable in the eyes of those responsible for maintaining the status quo of the British Government. Although she was divorced from Prince Charles, the long-standing implications of any affair, relationship, remarriage or additional births involving Diana probably gave a lot of important people in England the same kind of sleep problems that I had. It could also move anyone with the power to do something about Diana from being reactive to proactive. As far as Diana was concerned, the British people were with her. They loved her and seemed to understand her need to get Charles and the Queen off her back. That belief was her undoing. People are notoriously fickle. Just a year after her death a huge charity was planned to commemorate her death and support her causes. A fortune was spent on promotions and everyone knew it was coming, but there were few takers. The tears dried and the public moved on. She mistook admiration for adoration. People might have admired her for standing up to Charles and seeking justice, but many still adored the Queen and felt that having a Royal Family in the UK provided an economic, political and social comfort zone. Diana's divorce left her with the title, Diana, Princess of Wales. Although she was not an HRH, a remarried Diana would be a major embarrassment to the royal line if Prince William eventually became King. That situation might upset the delicate balancing act that constitutes the British system of government enough to require a complete overhaul. That overhaul would almost certainly include the further limiting or complete abolishment of the English Throne. Any discussion of that kind would probably bring about instability in Britain and other Commonwealth Nations. Those weighing the life of Diana against political, social and economic consistency in the UK and elsewhere would probably feel themselves backed into a corner. I'm certain that all of the media coverage of Diana and Dodi that summer before her death proved to be the straw that broke the camel's back. Every time a photo of Diana appeared in the press showing her in various stages of undress with Dodi, the resolve of those with the power to end her life was probably strengthened. Someone decided she and Dodi had to go and that was that. A surviving Dodi would be a wildcard that no one wanted to bet with or on. When Diana decided to marry Charles, she made a decision for life. Believing she could marry the future King of England, give birth to his heirs, divorce him and simply move on to greener pastures was naïve at best. Governments have become huge entities that place their own survival above those that elect the people who are supposed to represent their best interests. They are monstrosities that will gladly chew up and spit out anyone or anything that gets in their way. Not understanding those facts probably condemned Diana to an early death. Ten years after her death (or assassination), nothing has been happened to alter my belief that Diana was murdered to protect the British Throne and system of government. Although most people will remember the Princess of Wales for her charity and kindness, her death should be a constant reminder that we have all unwitting accomplishes in a worldwide conspiracy infecting many nations. While the politicians have us all at each other's throats and remove the few freedoms we possess by piecemeal, we fret over who is or isn't in power as if it really matters anymore. With summer quickly fading, and fall arriving on its heels, the weather is finally perfect for holding an enjoyable back yard birthday party. One of the bonuses of having a party outside is, especially with little kids, is that you don't have to worry about your house getting messy or unsightly spills on your floors! Kids love to play outside and it gives them lots of room to run around, be silly, and have lots of fun at a princess party. Even if you don't have a nice back yard that is fenced in (so that no little princesses escape), many neighbors, friends, or family would mostly likely be willing to loan you theirs for a few hours for the party. If you would rather not ask friends or family, then try holding your birthday celebration at a local park. You will need to ask more adults to help watch, since parks are so large and you want to make sure that no kids get lost. It is also acceptable to invite the parents to come as well, and then you won't have to worry about watching so many kids. It would be fun to invite your guests to wear princess clothing to the party or their favorite fancy dress. If you want to get extra fancy, you could provide a dress for each attendee to wear to the party. Many online retailers offer bulk discounts for parties or travels to Disney theme parks. One fun activity you can use at your backyard princess party is swimming. You could put a kiddie pool in your backyard and let the water entertain the children. You could have fun princess items for them to use in the pool like princess water and sand toys. Sprinklers are fun too and are a little less messy than a pool. Don't forget to remind your guests to wear sunscreen. Another idea would be to hold a back yard picnic complete with princess picnic ware like tablecloths, plate, napkins, and cups. It would be fun to have a barbeque with hotdogs and hamburgers or serve items you might serve at a baby shower like finger sandwiches, small desserts and things that can be consumed in one bite. Cupcakes or mini cupcakes would be the perfect dessert for an outdoor princess party. Decorations suitable for the outdoors may include helium balloons in pink and white, streams can be spread out between a deck and trees or hanging from branches. If you are hosting an evening birthday party, you could use outdoor lighting and maybe include a ball or dancing in your activity list. It would be fun to invite a father or an actor dressed up as a prince to twirl the little girls around in their pretty dresses. There are some outdoor games that are fun to play at parties, including hopscotch and hide and seek. If you have a lot of trees and hiding places in your yard, you could do some kind of princess scavenger hunt where guests are given clues to find certain princess items such as wands, crowns, tiaras, princess shoes, princess dresses, and so on. You could even make these items favors so the girls can take them home with them. Most of all, just have fun at your daughter's back yard party!
